The One Percent Doctrine...
-
In September 1968, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover described the Black Panthers as a nationalist terrorist group:"the greatest threat to the internal security of the country. By July 1969, the Black Panthers had become the primary focus of the program, and was ultimately the target of 233 of the legit & authorized "Black Nationalist" COINTELPRO actions. Panthers' stance was direct action to confront social and economic inequality in the same vein as the Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Free Huey's 1% Doctrine refers to the very same income inequality and wealth distribution problem between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the population. With the understanding that wealth is more than monetary value, we the victims of oppression, are the true 1%. We are rich in pride, rich in culture, rich in heritage, rich in integrity, rich in spirit, rich in courage, rich in talent, rich in influence. We made the 1% who they are through the toils of our hardships. Many struggle with claiming social responsibility, while perpetuating oppressive behavior. Some believe it is enough to post an empathetic status or tweet an inspiring message. Truly, it is much more effective to call out injustice where you see it in every day life. This is just one example of how you can make a difference in the lives of those you impact. Knowing that accounts of injustice and modes of oppression create this hierarchy, how could anyone fighting corruption be labeled a terrorist?
